QUEEN OF HEARTS

I want lots of clothes with Queens of Hearts on them in prints and patterns! Why aren't there any?

I will most likely get myself something with the The Queen of Hearts in it during spring anyway but not as printed on fabric though..

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to find that kind of fabric, dear. In case I should come across, I'm going to let you know of course.

Oooh, indeed. Any of these designs would be smashing on you. Hope some fabric designers are reading your blog!

Those drawings are wonderful! I hate when I can't find clothes that I want...that's why i've started sewing! ;o)

I also like the queen of hearts as a symbol/design. The closest i have found in fabric is just playing cards.

Maria : thanks. You know, it's very easy that one always tends to draw oneself, even though it's not always with purpose :)

Q's daydream : If I'd find a fabric with some kind of print like this I'd definitely get it and start sewing... I'm thinkig of printing this iron-on and melt in paper with a print like this on a blouse perhaps since printing a whole fabric myself is kindof out of the question :)

I saw a corset with queen of hearts in Prague a couple of years ago...

May I ask why it is so important that it's the Queen of Hearts?

I like the idea and the sketches look great :) I also happen to have a skirt with a Queen of Spades pattern: http://babooshka.tyylitaivas.fi/asu/pata-akka

I love the blouse! I wish someone would make something like that. It reminds me of some Tarina Tarantino jewellery I wish I could afford.

Nice drawings, I immediately thought why not use the print-out-and-iron-on-stuff, but noticed you'd though of that too. But good luck in your quest!

I really like your illustrations as usual! Could I ask what you use to do them? I'm going to guess adobe Illustrator and a drawing tablet? I like the brush stroke effect.

That's a great idea for a fabric. Let's hope one comes along.

I love the Queen of Hearts. Clothes inspired by cards would be awesome...acutally kind of suprised no one has thought to run up some fabric like that. Why oh why can't we all have textile factories in our back yards?

Your drawings and designs are lovely! Have you heard of Spoonflower? They will custom print any designs onto fabric for you... http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome

How about the ones by Nanso? It's an old print of theirs but you can sometimes find it at huuto.net. It looks like this but there's nicer colours and garments too.

Great illustrations as always.

I'm a bit of a Mad Hatter girl myself, and though I've found no fabric or clothes, I do have a gorgeous necklace from Paraphernalia - they don't do the Queen of Hearts, unfortunately, but Alice, the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, the Cheshire Cat and the White Rabbit are all there:

You can always check the swedish brand Robert & Blad. They do clothes with playingcards, even though I donøt know if they have done with the queen. You find them at www.hepcat.se or www.sivletto.com.
I like your blog!

Unfortunately finding anything Alice in Wonderland themed will be hard to find right now....Tim Burton is filming the movie and Johnny Depp is playing the mad hatter. It's due out in March of 2010. I'm sure then we won't have any problems finding patterned fabric. It will just take awhile to catch on.
